Meli Melo New Fall Collection- Now in stores

A couple of weeks ago I received an email from Meli Melo that their latest collection, New Dandies, has hit the stores.
I was reading the press release that said "New Dandies is dedicated to those women who aren't afraid to stand out in the crowd, to wear statement accessories and mix and match different patterns and colors in the same outfit" and I thought to myself "Wow! Are they describing me?
Yes, count me in!"The only problem was that when the collection launched I was in Greece.

I knew that like all Meli Melo's collections, this one will also sell like hot cakes and there will be nothing left in the stores for me by the time I come back.
Luckily, I used my connections (mhuahaha) and visited their showroom where the collection was still in one piece. ( more like in all pieces)

Of course, I couldn't help myself  and I took a look at their future and past collections as well.
I fell in love with the coming winter collection. The beanies, the mufflers, ear-muffs, knitted gloves.
I could almost smell the cinnamon and hear the carols in the background.

Take a look and tell me if the "kitty beanie" isn't the most adorable thing ever.
Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty, little ball of fur, Happy Kitty, Sleepy Kitty, purr purr, purr.

Romanian translation

Acum cateva saptamani am primit un mail de la  Meli Melo ca noua lor colectie, New Dandies a fost lansata in magazine.

Citeam comunicatul de presa care spunea "New Dandies se adreseaza acelor femei carora nu le e frica sa iasa in evidenta, sa poarte accessorii statement si carora le place sa combine diferite texturi si culori in aceeasi tinuta" si m-am gandit "Wow! Ma descriu pe mine?"
Singura problema a fost ca in momentul lansarii colectiei eu eram in Grecia.

Corfu Island part 2

I now regret I spent only one day in the splendid city, Corfu Town. I loved walking around Kerkyra admiring the beautiful architecture. It's one of the most charming and romantic cities I've ever seen.

Almost 500 years of Venetian, French and British occupation have definitely left their influence on this place. The city´s architecture today is mainly of Venetian origin.

It was an unforgettable experience walking up and down along the tall, narrow alleys between high old houses, old Venetian wells and hidden gardens looking around to discover the old town secrets.

Corfu Island part 1

This time last week I was still sun bathing in Corfu. Wow! I miss the beautiful island already. Sorry it took me this long to post pictures from my vacation, but I was bus lagged for the couple first days back in Bucharest.
If you are not familiar with the concept "bus lagged", let me explain. It's pretty much the same thing as "jet lagged" only imagine you are on a bus traveling for 20 hours and you can't get a wink of sleep while everyone on the bus besides you (and the driver of course) is drooling and snoring.
I have never been more jealous of someone in my entire life. I can never fall asleep without a fluffy pillow and a warm bed and all those people were comfortable enough to sleep on a stiff bus chair. I really need to find out their secret.

Anyway, moving on. I spent 7 magical days in Greece and it's incredible how many things can change in just a short week. I turned a quarter of a century old and I got engaged to the love of my life.

I can't stop staring at my hand. This is the first time in 15 years I wear a ring and it's an engagement ring.  Note to self: be careful gawking at your hand while crossing busy intersections.
Maybe I can share the proposal story with you guys in a future post.

More pictures from Corfu coming up this week!
